Ice Climbing

Canadian Rockies

The Canadian Rockies are home to some of the world's longest and most spectacular waterfall ice routes. SJMG Director and IFMGA Mountain Guide Clint Cook has been guiding private guests for many seasons up the classic pillars and walls. There is a lifetime's worth of incredible routes to choose from at all grades in many different settings. Clint is available in March of 2009 for guiding, it is $450 per day for 1:1 guiding.

We base most of our trips out of Canmore, although some folks like to stay in Banff and combine with some skiing. Clint will provide 4WD transportation from Canmore to each day's climb. We can also make arragement to stay at the Num-ti-jah lodge or other accommodations if we want to climb a few days in a row on the Icefields Parkway. Contact Clint to discuss what the best plan for you is. All of these trips are arranged through a private agreement between Clint and the client, due to specific regulations in Canada.

Popular Routes include:

Polar Circus
Weeping Wall
Hydrophobia
Professor Falls
Cascade Falls
The Sorcerer
100's and 100's more at all grades!
