The Pool Wall - Ouray
The Pool Wall sits right above the Hot Springs Pool in Ouray. It is home to loads of great climbs for every ability level. We climb there a bunch with families and individuals looking for excellent climbing in a beautiful setting with a short approach. The main wall sports lots of harder bolted routes, but also a handful of more moderate traditional climbs. At the north end of the wall sits the Alcove. The Alcove is a treasure trove of easy and moderate rock climbs in a secluded little nook that feels much further away than the 5 min walk it takes to get there. The Alcove has a dozen routes from 5.4 to 5.10 and is great place to spend a day learning the basics of rock climbing movement and progressing through more challenging climbs.
