SW Colorado is blanketed with abundant snowfall from November through May each year. The San Juan's are notorious for having some of the most treacherous avalanche conditions in the country due to the steep terrain and weakly-bonded snowpack. However, there are few better places to learn about avalanche awareness than the San Juan's and we are fortunate to have some of the country's finest avalanche forecasters teaching our courses.
